Have you got the parts yet Nick?

We’ll all be waiting for the morning
We’ll be one step further from the start
There’s a new day waiting in the wings again
And a chance to get some new parts.

Wiggs found I had heated wheel but wrong clockspring on my D4.
So I'm needing D4 clockspring plus the switches to turn the heat on.
What will the price be?
TLO - you didn't reply to my post. I know it was a whole back. But what would the price be?

Fitted, with a little 'help' from my two year old daughter . Works really well, heat is very even all around the wheel & it looks & feels much better than the original too.
Took a couple of hours, but I did have to keep looking a Peppa Pig on the RSE to keep someone happy

Got the parts and all well, BUT, what did you do where the power supply for the wheel was connected (in the clockspring)?
The kit didn't come with a snap-in connector there. Did you get a connector that fit there, or did you just solder the wires onto the pins?

Hi MGH87
Have a look at this article: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic43156.html
There's a picture of the side of the clock spring where the connector goes into on StepanT's second post & he asked about the correct connector too, but he said that he used an old PC case (or motherboard) connector & that's what I did.
I cut the connector into two & managed to solder a length of cable onto the top of each them after cutting the insulation back & then putting a bit of heat shrink over. They do fit into the clock spring, but they're tight - suppose they won't fall out though! I then routed the cable to the back of the cig lighter socket so it can't stay on without the keys in.
Hope that helps a bit? If you get stuck for an old motherboard connector, let me know & I'll have a rummage around.
Cheers
Marcus

how easy is it for my land rover dealer to fit these, theyre a bit dumb on matters such as these.
I have a 05 HSE tdv6, worn steering wheel with cruise and voice and radio controls, presumably the new wheel will come with all of the stuff I already have PLUS the lovelyness of warmth in winter!!
if so im in please.
mucho thank you!
