Not to make an discution out of this but, Is there anyone who has done this job and made a video of it?
One thing ppl realy enjoy is watching others do this kind of stuff on film before they do it them self. Sure we got youtube. but what about here? Im planin to do some retrofittin ecus in my vehicle that wasent there from new. I would like to record what I do, so others can see what I did and make those who are in doubt a chance to watch the clip and then comare to what they have to the vehicle they have. Is this possible?
Just waitin for some parts from famous4 and a suny day + a weeken to get me sorted.
I have a movie to make!!!

I've got an 05HSE & just wondering why I'd need two switches? Is it just the colour of the switch surround that's different or is there something else? I'm just wondering if I could save a few quid, by getting just the left-hand switch set & swapping the surround from one I've got spare (one that didn't have the voice switch on when I got the car). That's assuming it is possible to swap the surrounds over.
Thoughts anyone?

So really it doesn't matter what year D3 you buying for, we are all able to buy the kit with just the 1 switch pack (left side)
Those with a post 2008 simply fit the new switch pack, and those pre 2008 need to unclip and swap the switch fascia over with there existing one so the colours match
I assume the actual switch to activate the heated wheel doesn't affect the fascia?
Could be good news for people who were getting put off having to spend an extra £50 on the other switch pack
