Quick question about this mod:
Looking at the back of the new switch cluster for the heated steering wheel, there is a 3 prong connector in the back which I am assuming is for the heated function.
DoI need to get a rotary clockspring from a RRS (2008-2009) for me to be able to do this mod and does the clockspring come is a cable that will connect from the switch to the heated wheel?
Thanks!

Hi,
I've been following this with interest and have decided to fit a heated steering wheel. I have a 2005 S model manual with no phone connections / buttons on the steering wheel. Could someone please tell me what bits i need to order and also what is a clock spring and do i need one?
thanks,

Hey,
I'm in the U.S. and am currently trying to do this too. It's not that easy for me, since I have to order my parts bit by bit from an importer here.
So far, I had to get the heated wheel. Then, the switch cluster that turns it on and off. That goes on the left side where your left horn button is. YOU DO NEED to get the rotary coupler/clockspring assembly. Stephan from this forum just notified me that he got a clockspring for a D4 and that it was an almost complete swap.
MY QUESTION IS, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO GOT YOUR WHEEL...DID IT COME WITH THE CABLE CONNECTION THAT CONNECTED THE WHEEL ON AND OFF SWITCH TO THE WHEEL HEATING CABLES (THE 2 BLUE AND 2 BLACK WIRES)?
Mine didn't come with it. So I'm wondering if I would still need to order that.
Thanks guys!
