Heated Steering Module - PCB Differences
Hi All,
This might be a lost cause but I am hoping there might be some electronics engineers on here than can help. I am out of my depth.
I am trying to get my heated steering to work... I have all the correct parts other then the module which is an old one from an L322 which is not compatible.... the question is why?
This is the wiring for the old one (L322) which I have:

.. and a picture of the PCB:
2pin connector = +12v and Ground for the Module
4pin connector = +12v and Ground and 2x sensor wires to wheel
3pin connector = ? - According to the the wiring it should just be pin-out for a push-button and a tell tale LED.
The newer compatible one looks like this:
... and the pinout for the three pin connector is this:

So what's the difference with these two modules? I've been told the newer one just needs a grouding of the blue wire to work and the yellow and green are for the LED.
