Heat shrink on exposed threads

This may be a really daft idea but has anybody ever tried covering exposed threads around the suspension/hubs/bushes with heat shrink before? In my head it should keep them clean and in theory make it easier to take apart when needed if you cant/dont want to cut the bolts off?

I guess the issue would be keeping the shrink in place?

It would be very difficult to keep the wet out, and therefore might promote corrosion, not reduce it?

Not sure but unless sealed at the top might allow moisture. water and grit in and become a trap, causing more issues.
Seen some covered with rubber grommets where the end is closed, looks like those things money counters used to use, when money was king, minus the knobbly bits

Aerosol motorcycle chain grease applied once a year seems to work well, also good for protecting the rear fixed brake pipes and any localised rust you come across/

Knew there was probably a good reason why nobody had done it Laughing
I had thought about the rubber grommet cap things but with all the different size and length bolts wondered if shrink would be easier.

I use a half inch paint brush and a pot of copper grease. And give the threads a quick wipe around.

I have put a smear of cheap grease on threads 25 years ago when rebuilding my old S1 LR, they now mostly undone with little effort
