I have received contact from Simon Cooper who is quoted in the article and as is fairly normal from the UK press what he actually said isn't what the newspaper are reporting. He was contacted by them to offer a quote on the story and told them that he couldn't understand how they accessed the vehicle. He said they were going to let him have a copy of the story but my contact was the first he had heard of it being printed.

On the back of this and the lack of evidence on this site that Discovery 3's or 4's have had their lights stolen ..I believe that there is nothing to suggest that there is a magical way of stealing the units without access to the engine compartment. Thumbs Up

The FFRR ones tended to be the SC clear lenses but the design was changed IIRC around the time of 2006/7 to stop the thefts occurring as there was quite a spate of it and the SC ones often go for a pretty penny even now with LED options about..
