Headlight protectors - worth it? |
|
Notice that my local dealer is having another spares clear-out and has a set of the metal headlamp protectors for £70.
Bearing in mind I'm hardly off-road in my D3, am I right in thinking that they offer little protection to the most likely way in which my xenons would need replacing, namely the 'fast-stone-flicked-up-on-road' event?
Are they best for deflecting birds in flight or small branches off-road? Or is their main purpose [whisper] macho effect [/whisper] ? Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I'm sure it's style-thing, same as the metal grille I have on the headlights of my BMW GS Adventure. You've got to look the part, haven't you?
