Decided to check where the lever is for continental driving. According to the handbook the lever should be up for UK and down for the continent. On the nearside the lever is down. Do you think this is a case of the previous owner forgetting to change it back?
I cannot check the offside lamp as the locking bar at the back seems to have been well pushed down. We've tried levering it up, but to no effect, don't want to lever too hard in case be damage the headlamp. Anyone got any suggestions to get the bar to move up?
Any help would be appreciated.

Don't worry about it. Consensus is it's not worth changing them as no one's ever had a problem.

I agree with DSL. Been going to France with some sort of Disco since 1992, and previously with other cars. Never had a problem. Remember they are an hour in front with the clock. Does not go dark until gone 22.00 hours
