Head unit battery location....?

Just trying to sort out the Stuck in 'phone mode' issue with the head unit...

I have tried hard reset, fuse pulling etc... No joy..

I read that you can remove the battery in the head unit? Im just wondering where its located in the unit?

I’m sure somebody resolved a similar issue by powering the unit on with the most cable removed from the head unit. Thumbs Up

I took one apart awhile ago and don’t remember seeing any battery in it. Is it some type of capacitor instead of a battery

No Battery..mmm? What next?

thanks both... I am sure it sad to remove the battery in a few other 'how to' threads?

I got it partially working tonight.

I plugged it in Without the IR Connector. It did not initially went into phone mode (I have no blue-tooth). It went through the checking CD whirring etc... the radio mode came up.I had NO volume however??
Confused
As soon as i switched the ignition on it went back into 'Phone' Mode Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Anyone got any suggestions??

I must be missing something?

The IR connector, as you put it, is the fiber-optic cable which carries the audio signal from the head unit to the amplifier among other things. If the MOST bus is a closed-loop (or ring) system so if you disconnect it at some point it won’t work.
