HDC fault system not available

Having this HDC fault on my D3, mostly on the cold mornings battery is about 5 years old, one notable issue is the lack of the rear parking sensor!!. Once car is started and then stopped and restarted no warning and parking sensor works fine! After being out last night I took battery voltage of 12.55V, this morning before starting it was at 12.25V, I think a new battery is required??? Would appreciate any thoughts before forking £100+ on a battery!!

Any comments would be welcome

I’ve got exactly the same fault, took the decision to buy a battery yesterday. Yuasa as below seems to be the one many go to. Currently £134 from halfords and has a good cranking rate.

I got in after dark yesterday so couldn’t fit it, will be doing so on friday. Will let you know the outcome if you can hold off for a few days.

****Update ****

I bit the bullet, took car to local independent who ran it up on the diagnostics, cleared some error codes that could be associated with power issues, chatting to mechanic and his suspicion were also the battery. Interestingly he did notice that I was still on the original landrover battery, my D3 is 2006! Changed battery anyway, no issues or warnings this morning when starting but not as cold as it has been previously. Before starting, as a comparison I took a voltage, 12.47V, it doesn't seem a lot of difference (old battery 12.25V) but in these power hungry cars with "over sensitive" sensors I think, and hope, its enough to make the difference.
