hazard warning lights button |
|
first little niggle with the new arrival ...... hit the flashers to thank a bus for letting me out,,, couldnt turn them off .. the button was stuck ... ws mortified driving along with the flashers on ... had to pull into a garage to get a plastic knife to tease out the button - not very easy.
Then
next day ... got out of car and locked it -- all fine. When i came back the bloody hazards were blinking away like billy-o....
spookey

Happens to me a lot aswell, has done ever since I started taking the console surround off to add bits and pieces.More than one occasion had to rip the console off whilst on the move as it was the only way the button would release.
Nowadays I just flash the left/right indicators fast to acknowledge an act of kindness by someone behind me and leave the hazard button untouched.A wave in the rear view is another alternative unless of course its pitch black

It happens on my D3 when the wife drives, I thought it was a clever safety feature

Happened to mine and suspension wouldn't lower from off road, dealer replaced the switch, no probs since. The hazard switch can also cause suspension faults as they need to be on for remote control to work. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
