Just glad our Lab can't read, he'd be gutted
He's just been shampooed and rinsed in the local river and likes nothing better than drying in front of the fire
Love how a one size fits all approach is taken on this.
Out in the sticks here sometimes the burner is our only source of heat during power cuts as the Boiler won't light or worse we run out of gas for our tank, not so bad these days with telemetry.
"Ban diesel cars because of particulates in the city"
Is there a common factor to all this that we could ban instead???A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Seems like the UK has its own fair share of simple people who think electricity comes from the wall outlet and the supply chain for milk is that it comes from the store. Here we call them the Green Party. They’re specialized in imposing their thoughts and attitude on others while thinking it doesn’t apply to them.
The wild current suggestion is that all large roads into downtown should be transformed into boulevards where people could walk and bike. Seems like a great idea if you don’t need to come to work, stores downtown don’t need replenishment, etc.

The bloke that serviced my early LRs in a back street garage in a Nissen hut had a heater that ran on waste engine oil. It was a large air blown contraption.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Garages used to have heaters that ran on waste oil. The oil dropped onto a heat plate of some sort. Were very effective but got banned some years ago! What’s new?Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

I second that....
Some of those city dwelling do gooders will try and tell you wood burners are just unsubstainable....OR they might put it up on the Eco Forum with their new iPhone (that they renew every year...lol)
I mean fuel for our wood burners does not grow on trees you know! 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

Let’s have a silent moment to remember the dinosaurs who so long ago made the ultimate sacrifice so we could have it so good.
