Handbrake rapid beeping

Hi,

My car has started doing a multiple beep and flashing handbrake symbol on startup.

I have done a few searches on here an there are some inconclusive answers from years ago.

Does anyone know what this is? There appear to be no actual operational problems with the EPB.

Three fast beeps on start up occasionally here but no handbrake symbol. In fact no warning lights of any kind. Is this the same thing? D1 300Tdi - gone
D2 Td5 ES (Alive remapped...mmm) - sadly gone
D4 2012 SDV6 XS - Stolen

I got that occasionally, never could work out why it did it, was the same after an epb strip down and clean. Learnt just to ignore it as it was very infrequent and epb seemed to work just fine.

I get that occasionally, usually when it's either wet or the car's parked on a slope. If you lift the lever (as if applying the EPB) it stops, even though the brake has been applied beforehand. Another little "characteristic" you learn to live with (or at least I have for the past four and a bit years!).

Had epb switch changed but made no difference as it still does it now and then, seems to vary with temperature/season Laughing just ignore it now and pull switch up as stated above

I provided video proof, dealer declared it operationally sound and couldn't explain why.
