Hand Brake Switch Screw
Hello all,
I need a bit of help, I'm in the process of swoping my steering wheel and I lost the screw for the hand brake switch it ping off never to be seen again!
Does anyone know its size etc? It looked like a simple Philips screw tapper?

Not gonna ask why you had to indir the handbrake switch to replace the steering wheel
Yeah, self tapper should be ok2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Correct part is FYP500110
4.2mm x 13mm so No. 8 x 1/2”, but it’s a black flanged Torx not your average shiny silver self tapper.
Same screw is used to hold the radio in, and also the cool box/centre cubby box (top corners, visible with centre console trim removed).
As you see the EPB screw, you could swap one of those out for a normal self tapper and use the removed one.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Think my radio is only held in with 2 screws.
So there’s an idea for you !

Thanks for all the help in identifying that screw.
I might have a look at the radio and see.
I'm going for a heated D4 wheel on my D3 so needed to take out the console so I could get to the cigarette power outlet to piggy back the power from that.
