Anyone know if the Halfrauds Wiper Blades for the D3 work OK? (they must be new as last time I went in they didn't have them) Importantly, are they quiet?
Arrived at a well known outlet that sells Valeo wiper blades online at 4.55pm today (assumed they shut at 5.30). Knew exactly what I wanted - needed a set of wipers from mine, a set of blades for Mrs C and a set of headlight bulbs (total £60sh?). Was told I couldn't pay with a card as they'd cashed it up (mildly annoying), offered to leg it to the nearest cash point to be told they'd be gone in 5 minutes... WTF. Economic downturn?!?! Trying to support small independent...
I'm one of those sort of people that get irrationally grumpy by that sort of stuff, so do the Halfords ones fit and are they quiet, or should I just get over it and buy them from them online?

I know a guy who has a RRS, he bought 3 replacement sets from a dealer, and all of them were very noisy. Said he bought a set from Halfords, and they were silent from as soon as he put them on. Got to be worth a try anyway My D3 Build Thread

I went to local Halfords yesterday to buy a rear wiper and it wasn't listed in any of the display guide books so I assumed they didn't sell them... SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

Think the problem is the plastic clip is different from LR on the Halfords rears.
So I just took the original blade off to match up then changed the Halfords blades plastic clip for the LR one. Works a treat
Front ones listed in their books no problem.

Just a note to say that the Halfrauds own brand Set 124 (normally £22.99, but I paid less because the box was damaged) fit and work perfectly. No noise as with the original LR ones I had.
Apparently they're made by Valeo, but they don't feel quite so robust - no problem though. Same design, they even have a slightly recessed area that takes the yellow wear sticker on the Valeo ones. The blade rubber seems a slightly softer compound than the Valeo ones.
Took me $%^@&@^%$ ages to get the old blades off, until I worked out that by removing the top cover on the Valeo wipers (the bit that covers the hook), you can open the barbs that hold the wipers to the top end of the 'U'. You need to do this as well as pressing the clip on the underside.
Anyway... that's quite enough about wipers
