| GVIF Version 8 - installion |

Chaps,
Struggling with a GVIF REV 8.0.
Connected y cable to navi,
red 12v
black 0V
Grey to trigger
Dip switch settings
1 down or up no change.
2 up
3 up
4 up
5 up
6 up
7 down
8 up
When I triger unit to switch to reverse camera (+12v grey lead) the unit relay clicks, it switches from navi to black screen.
But nothing else, no green light.
removing 12v on grey lead triggers navi screen to come back.
I tried another camera and confirmed that this camera works oK on external monitor, then plugged in the reverse camera in monitor and get a picture.
The instructions supplied are fairly confusing, mostly for a Lexus.
Any help appreciated.

It's possible you have the video input and output cables the wrong way round. That would cause your symptoms.
I actually had to connect the CAN bus upto the satnav bus.
