gurgle gurgle
noticed this morning slight gurgling water sound from the drivers side dash that i havnt noticed before .No adverse effects signs of leak and car warmed up as usual. Got to work checked water level a little below min level so topped up any thing to worry about ?
as i was topping up the water resevoir i touched the FBH to feel if it had been running and it was warm as id expect as we were 4 deg this morning then 15/20 seconds after the fbh fan kicked in i assume it was a cooling down routine but did wonder if it would have done it if i hadnt touched it. any one know if its as should be ?
all above could be usual LR owners paranoia any knowledge experience appreciated MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

hubble bubble boil and trouble
mercs also do this (the matrix is quite high in the dash..in summer the water is isolated from the cabin matrix to aid cooling and come winter the valves open with the heater use and odds on there is some trapped air that bubbles around.
the high matrix stops the build up of silt that plagued early fordsIt is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

It'll almost certainly be oil in the brake servo. Get it done as a recall at the dealers ASAP. Even you've already had the recall done. Bodsys Brake Bible
Thread revival.... I noticed a gurgling sound behind the dash myself. Background which may or may not be relevant is that the coolant bottle has been removed for replacement at least once in the last week. (assuming garage had it removed before they realized the wrong part was sent to them). I have now replaced it myself. Bled the system and all seemed ok. Intrigued as to why oil in the brake servo may be the cause - is it oil i hear gurgling rather than water? And where is the best place to check for said oil?
Not heard the noise but I thought the oil in turbo recall was D3 related ? Am I wrong and is it something I should look into getting "recalled" ?.

I heard this a few days ago. I pressed the eco button (turning AC off) and it stopped

Im nearly sure my D4 was recalled for oil in the servo. I had it replaced again less than a year ago but I cant remember if the cause was oil or something else. I have a vague memory of buying a hose to see if that fixed a problem but it didnt so off it went for a new servo. Perhaps a vacuum error? Hose with a one way valve perhaps?
