GS headlamp washers and fog lights D4

Hi

Have fitted front fogs and washers, but not wired yet, got the wrong fog lamp loom to start with, think I have the right one now, can any one confirm the plug is one of the 2 mounted just below the offside headlight.
Also have fitted the washer jets but again not sure what the pump plugs into although I did find one loose plug with 2 wires going into it not to far from the washer, also where does the level sensor plug into.

Regards Rick

Rick
Yes the plug is behind the so headlamp one of the plugs is for the fogs and the other is for PDC,
You will need the fogs enabling as we'll they are not plug and play !

Regarding the washers you will need a new washer bottle to incorporate the extra pump required !

Hi

Thanks very much, have taken the headlight out this morn and you are correct, the new loom I now have does plug in + ihave also replaced the switch. regarding the washers i read somewhere that you can drill the bottle to take the new pump !! but if I bought a new bottle is it already drilled ?? also still not sure where to plug them in + the sensor.

Best regards Rick

Think the wire that goes to the pump is near the bottle I remember when I looked you can see it along side the one for the screen pumps !
Yes there are two kinds of bottles the one you require will have the hole in it and you will require a rubber grommet that goes into it that mounts the pump !
But you will have to take the bumper off to get at the bottle Shocked
I got all the bits for when I did mine then realised I needed a new bottle but it was a sunday and needed to go back together for Monday , and have never got round to completing it got the whole job plumbed in just need the bottle for the pump to sit in Sad
Are you doing the PDC as we'll ?

Hi again

Just had it all in bits again, wired the fogs and new switch fitted but as you said will need enabling ( hope so because they don't work).
Regarding the washers got the bottle out but then realised I think I need another bit of loom to join the plug to the pump, I got a level sensor too and there is a plug for that, I think I could drill the hole for the pump as there is a position and mouldings to take the pump but not sure where the sensor goes, may be easier to get new bottle, I'm now getting very good at removing the bumper etc.
Hadn't thought about pdc but may look at that.

Regards Rick

Rick, if you are going to take the bumper off again, how's about a few pics of the bottle and the connections you are talking about. I will soon be replacing my bumper as I have recently bought one with pdc, fog lights and washers, and will be installing it as soon as I buy the sundries, and get it painted.

Hi
Thanks very much, I will see if I can find the time to take it off again, although I haven't really missed them not working and there not needed for the MOT as the main dealer said they were, but not required if none Xenon lights. But thanks very much for the offer.
Regards Rick.
