I have a friend that imports automotive stuff from the UK on a regular basis mainly classic british car stuff. Hes offerd me some space on his pallets for some large/heavy items on occasion if I want.
Would there be any interest to do a group buy on some of the larger items from the UK like winch brackets, body protetion, racks ect ect...
The items would arive in Tampa Florida and I could forward them on from there for what ever the freight cost or could be picked up. There would be a small fee for the shipping by my friend.
The dollar is fairly strong compared to this time last year.
Just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Where is this friend working from and what are you after Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks
more Helsport tents and other things for camping Law of Mechanical Repair:
"After your hands are coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee!"
The guy who packs the pallets generally packs them in leicester Id be pretty much interested in all the bits you make RLD and maybe some other large bits
Hey Macleod, why don't you type "debt ratio" into Google search and see that GB is one of the most debt stricken nations in the world (negative 125,000 average per citizen). THAT is the reason for your depressed pound. I know you take great pride in being abrasive to anyone without the Union Jack printed on their undershorts, but you should take a day off from bashing Americans once in a while.
To stay with this thread, where would we be shipping items to that would be palletized for shipment? I am trying to get a Mantec plate."A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"
Basically the items would be put on a pallet in Leicester (which is east of B'ham) then would end up in Tampa Florida. From there they could be shipped with some freight service, greyhound or even just picked up in person.
There is the posibility of getting some space on a container neer the end of Jan.

I read that Rovers North is, or soon will be, carrying the Mantec plates for D3s, not on their website yet but you can call to order.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
