What is the rough cost of a heated one, clock spring and switch, and where is the switch situated?
Then I can let you know

The heated one is a Gnats left testicle short of £500 !
I've looked at this several times over the past Two years, I'm adding PTI shortly and wanted to do this at the same time, unfortunately the optional extra that is a pair of Gloves is winning the battle thus far !
I cant see me doing it in all honesty, i would rather add middle row heated seats for the little un as he is moaning that he is cold !
How times have changed, He used to get ferried about in the back of a Defender where he was cold & wet, now he is just cold
Theres no pleasing the younger Generation these days !

£500 that then I will leave the heated wheels for the ladies
I will have a normal leather at previous group buy price, it's only to put away until the other same type I have wears out, daft but I could have a new leather wheel every year for the price of a heated one
P.S. Maplins do heated gloves for those that struggle in the cold fiddling with their knobs

I looked in to buying the smooth leather steering wheel but I have decided not to bother because I get in and out of my car with grubby oily hands and would wreck a smooth leather one in no time, at least I can wipe my old steering wheel clean with industrial wipes that has no effect on the hard surface, and according to SWMBO my hands are warm enough

£500 for a heated wheel sounds pricey, but bearable.
Given my total lack of mechanical ability, what's the fitting cost at an indy - an hour's labour or so?

I'm based in Watford - I can fling it at my local indy, who I'm sure can fit it, just wanted to know if it's a long job, which then starts to make a £500 wheel more like a £650 wheel........

Would also like another group buy: it's summer at long last and I'm getting black palms again. Would love to replace the thing. Polished Black Ash would be perfect but I'd be pleased with smooth leather rather than the tar slick I have
