I picked up a grille to fit to the D4 whilst I refurb my own and fit some new DRLs.
It looks like someone has started taking it apart in the past but bottled it when they came to the melted joints down the sides.
Is there a trick to removing the melted joints ? Whilst I'm half way there, I thought I might as well complete the process and clean out any grime in the joints .

I used a 6" steel rule to slowly lever a badge out of a grille. Got to be thin, and strong, the glue is good!Richard

A hairdryer will soften the glue, however in this weather, just leave it in the sun for a couple of hours.
An old credit/loyality card is a good tool for prising badges etc. off.

I use a soldering iron for plastic joins but quite often it needs to be glued on assembly as the plastic tabs have distorted beyond use.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
