Greetings to all and few questions
hi all, i'm proud owner of D3 HSE 4.0 V6 model in seoul.
just want to let you guys know there's D3 showing off in seoul
as well. D3 was launched in seoul 2005 sept. and i got mine
in 2006 jan. we'll have LR sport in coming nov.
For some reason the models selling here are quite different than
in other part of the world. For example, LR is offering only one D3
model which is what i got. Unlike the Land Rover official site mine's
missing many options that suppose to come w/ HSE models, such as
memory seat, auto dipping mirror, voice recgnition and DVD...
with the price tag of over us$80K, i was expecting all of those options.
So par i'm very happy w/ her, few minor problems.
Reasons for being happy:
1. we just had annual monsoon(spell chk pls.) season, such a big rain for
about a month, flooded many part of korea and i was able to go any
place i wish unless there's policy block. - many people came to see D3
and i had to work very hard to answer all those questions from people,
and be nice...that was tough.
2. my wife is particularly happy w/ hugh cargo space which traslated into
big shopping and consquently into feather light wallet.
Problems
1.wife complains why do i have to adjust my seat and mirror everytime
i'm hurrying for shopping? and why can i see the back i'm i'm in
reverse gear. how much ou paid for this?
2. my kid said, his friends say nice looking car, particularly after the
missiion impossible 3 movie, but where is back seat DVDs and play
station? my fathers have one...
In korea, DIY is kind of very popular amongst those budget minded
people, they buy under option car and upgrade option by themselved,
called DIY (do it yourself)
so i have Questions
1. would it be possible to DIY the memory seat and Dipping mirror by
purchasing OEM parts from LR? and/or even better does D3 comes w/
rear view camera displaying through NAV monitor? kids at the back are
real danger.
2. transmission shifting is very slow at 1st to 2nd to 3rd, over 3000 rpm
it shifts, i feel 2000 rpm should be sufficient for up shifting, my dealer
upgraded ECM s/w and can;t do anyting.
If anyone knows i'd appreciate
happy to find this place, looking fwrd to see you more in cyber space

SPelling is fine (unlike many here!)
Welcome to the site - make sure you are on the 'map' so we extend our world-wide coverage.
The UK spec SE / HSE seats have memory modules, although I'm not sure how easy it would be to buy and fit the electrics, motors etc. Not a quick job, perhaps.
Fitting a DVD player is easy. Rosen do the 'official' Land Rover one that fits to the roof next to the light sensor between the front seats. There are several pictures on this site of the official and aftermarket installations.
You can buy the official DVD player from LandRover- you will need the player, fitting kit and wireless headphones. The LR parts are not cheap though! (sometimes come up on eBay). You can even download the installation instructions from the LR Owners part of the LR website.
Aftermarket dvd players are much cheaper - either headrest mounted or roof mounted. I would expect there to be many options for you in Korea.Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

This might be a silly question but you don't have the gear selector lever in sport mode do you? That causes the transmission to hold on to each gear for longer. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills
