Greasing my nipples

OK, now I got your attention..... where does one apply liberal doses of grease to the air suspension solenoid valves?

A mechanic who was just looking at my Golf that's for sale, was mentioning this as a major cause of failure on Disco air suspension. He said they're a bitch for rusting up.

Cheers,
Landylad

Maybe not a LR mechanic, but he has his own garage and says he's seen a few that have had problems. They tend to just rip out the air suspension and fit springs.... bit severe if you ask me.

This guy came to look at my Golf GT TDi and had his own Snap On computer analyser, whereby he preceded to plug it in and tell me I had a fault on my air flow flap and my temperature sensor (or something). Most folk just check there's tread on the tyres and try and beat you down a few hundred quid!

There's a world of difference betweening needing and wanting......
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

And on a serious note, it's the D2 that suffered the problem, not the D3. Totally different system. Thumbs Up
