Does anybody knows whether a combined antena fm-Am+gps works fine ?
I received some signals that this might not be the case.
the LR3 has the radio antena in the window and the gps antena on the roof. Does this have a reason?

I have a feeling that the antenna on the roof is for the telephone PTI system only.....I seem to remember reading that the GPS antenna is one of the ones in the rear windows....
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to confirm/correct this idea though.
Hope this helps..... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Gps antenna is
"The GPS antenna is located in a pod which is in the center on the vehicle roof at the rear. The GPS antenna is
connected to the GPS computer by a single co-axial cable and passes signals from the GPS satellites to the navigation
computers built in receiver for processing."
Also for removal you need to remove the high level brake light ...as its located under there.
Radio antenna is located in the rear side glass G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

The GPS antenna is in the rear brake light assy. It needs to 'look' upwards 'cos that's where the satellites are

Dunno.... what I do know is that an HSDPA modem antenna in close proximity to a GPS receiver has no detremental effects, so on that basis, purely receiving signals even on different wavelengths where the antennas are close together or even combined shouldn't be an issue
