I use a garmin 60cs....But I use this at sea as well and "could" go walking with it....
If you only want to use it for the laptop in the car, get one of those little receiver thingys....

This post wasn't much help but you've only been a member for a couple of months and are already have a post count over half of mine so I am just trying to increase mine by posting any old tripe.... Wink

I have a Holox BT321 - a bluetooth GPS unit - there's a couple on ebay right now - don't pay more than £25

eBay Item No. 260223933806
eBay Item No. 290217459116

You don't need a car charger if you can find the right USB cable you can power it from that (my extra Vodafone Broadband Mobile cable works a treat)

I've got one of these
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=140985

mounted in the bubble/fin on the roof with a 5m usb extension cable that takes it all the way through to the glovebox.

It's very quick to get a lock, doesn't need batteries, is hidden out of the way so the scrotes can't nick it... The best solution for my needs. (Thanks tfc! Thumbs Up )

I can recommend the same one from Expansys. Using one with the car pc and it's brilliant. Thumbs Up
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Bluetooth ones talk to things other than laptops

And you can power it via a USB powercable anyway Whistle
Best of both worlds Thumbs Up

Yes but not at the same time, so it can still only do one thing. so whats the point.
And if you have to use a cable to power it then why not just use one with a cable anyway.
