Sadly i have just parted with My Disco 4 xs which i bought new 1St March. I did 15,500 miles over 9 months and sold it for £6500 less than i paid for it. On top of that because i didnt have to do the 16000 mile service or put a new set of tyres on i saved anothe £1k. All in all for a car this size and price dont think i did too bad at all.

I have ordered a Toyota Invincible which arrives Mid Jan and will probably keep that for a few years . Needed to free up some cash for a building project. Will look at the new Defenders as they will be out by then .

Traded in my March 2010 D4 GS(approx 24000 mls) for a 2012 MY D4 GS due early next yr for £7800 to change, thought it was too good a deal to turn down.

The reason i went for a new one. The dealer took me for a test drive in an 18m old one that was on his forecourt for £20 less than his best price of a new one

In a similar posistion, trading in our Jan 2010 GS after christmas for an XS, the trade in for another GS would have only been £6700 so I bit the bullet and will go for the model up 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux
1x D3, 4 D4's - All gone

That sounds like a deal, maybe I'll go in after Xmas and see what they can do on a new XS ?

considering changing early next year my 59 XS, with 34k on it, been offered 33.5K from local dealers on a new XS or HSE, does this sound a reasonable deal?
