yours should be in warranty? I had 3 EPB's done and one 3-hour tow back home (via Land Rover Assist) under warranty on my last model.
Hi Iconix and everyone...
It went proper wrong yesterday, wouldn't disengage was going to try the manual thing but with so many xmas tree lights and pings and pongs i just called LR assist and they took it in to my local dealer. Yeah everything was indeed under warrantyso got it done for free, but to think that its simply dirty and needed adjusting i was shocked on an 11 month old vehicle...then i realised that i own a land rover.
well all fixedand i have been given a "bedding" in procedure from land rover to stop it in the future. If anyone wants it let me know. Apparently we should do this bedding in after a good days off-roading.
At least I got a RRS sport as a courtesy car from Land Rover Assist.
Cheers for all your help guys

John,
glad you got it sorted.
It may be worth posting that 'bedding-in' procedure on the Tips & Tricks section here for others to use perhaps?

I was going to post the bedding in thing for all to see but as I was about to, I checked out Bodsy's suggestion, which was great by the way Bodsy cheers fella, he has already done the instructions for it as a file for everyone to download so i decided not to repeat it.
LR told me its common with those of us that actually use the vehicle for what it was built for...off roading. I can't believe that a 4x4 built for "Going Beyond" has a fault that if you get the EPB dirty it goes tits up!!! Oh well....its a land rover as they say. Not much changed since my first land rover a 1984 90. If I didn't clean the rear drum brake I could get through a set off brake pads in less then 5000 km.
As it didn't have locker, traction control etc I made a hole in the inside plate so I could get the steam cleaner nozzle in.
I jacked the both rear wheels up and put it in low 1st so the rear wheels turn slowly and I kept the nozzle in till the water was clean.
Worked quit well.
Oh I forgot I first parked the front bumper against a tree. Roel

Just out of interest - my EPB went awhile ago and I haven't bothered to get it fixed yet, so I never use it and use the Park brake instead. Is there anything wrong with this long term, or should I really get the EPB seen to ?
