So, handbrake was squealing, usual stuff, changed pads cables etc put it all back together then tried the re latch process via computer. Handbrake unwound itself off the threads, I have now refitted it like 10 times and everytime does the same thing. I've tried disconnecting the battery, I've tried cancelling the reset via computer but everytime does the same thing. Am I missing something or what's going on?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By now you know how it all goes together. Why did you not relatch it when you had it apart?
