I am nearing the need to replace my tyres and it looks like the GG AT3s are for me.
My dilemma is whether to get the 4 worn tyres replaced or to do the spare as well. It is brand new. I know it wouldn’t match the AT3s but would get me home. Is this a crazy idea??MY16 D4 Graphite in Loire Blue

Where’s the best place to get AT3 price wise or are most places similar?

I reckon I’ve lost 2-3 mpg from my Scorpions but then I got a different profile, 255/55 rather than 255/50 so my Speedo is now more accurate so maybe the mog readout is more accurate too?

Haven’t measured it with fuelly or anything but I’d say mpg similar to ATRs or Duratracs. Probably 3mpg down on road tyres but still much better on mpg and noise than MT/Rs if you ever ran them.
Noise and smoothness is closer to ATRs than Duratracs. I think you’d like them.

Try AJS site sponsor, last year when I got them Andy beat everyone by a long shot.

I have had the GG AT3s for the last 1,500 miles or so
I am quite happy with the road manners, its very quiet etc and decent on the shallow mud however I am not sure about the rain performance yet as did few brake tests and some fast cornering in wet and still not very convinced, however I need to spend little bit more time with them.
Will be heading up to all the way North (The Highlands) in the next few days and that should give me sufficient drive to make up my mind!!!2005 D3 V8 SE

Great service at Ajs today. Arrived at 8am, all sorted fitted and paid by 8.25am
Feel well planted and did not notice any additional road noise from my scorpions, in fact I would say they seamed softer and quieter 👍CLUB DEFNER

Update:
Had my AT3s on now since early November and have covered a few miles. Perfectly safe in the wet; stopping is fine and have tried a few emergency stops and that seems fine too. Still respectful of a downhill lazy right hand bend near me on an A road where the camber drops away quite sharply on the offside. Pretty smooth tarmac and a blackspot junction to boot. Ok in the dry just haven't pushed it in the wet.
Plenty of good comments on the look of them on anthracite alloys. Only downside I can report is the amount of sh*t the side sipes throw up along the body. This weather, the vehicle is filthy and it seems pointless cleaning it. Anyone else notice this?

The only thing I’ve found is that with the tread pattern being a bit closer than the Duratrac’s is that they pick up a lot of stones. Other than that I think they are a great tyre. However as my D3 will be up for sale soon I’ll be in the market for another set.D4 MY15 SE TECH
