I just open the boot and stand on the drop down door to reach and load the top box.

Edit: found a review the longer one also appears to be 10 cm taller @ 60 cm.

i think a small light waight alloy step ladder would be best , can be used to clean disco and tin tent
if down here in your tin tent there will lots of gulls useing you as target practice where are you staying in cornwall,-------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

The answer is dead simple. Stand on top of the rear tyre I am not very tall, and it works for me.

A friend of mine uses a wheel step, don't know where he got it from but it is similar to this

I tried looking for one of these last year as had the same problem reaching into the topbox.could not find one that had the hieght and depth for the wheels though.

As Gareth says,stand with 1 foot on rear tyre and gingerly put other foot on inside of rear door whilst open.
Job done.
