Obd port above the Accelerator pedal,I use Icarsoft. Not bad for the price ,Reset your FBH and you can read live values .But the one to get is the Gap iid Bluetooth reader that you can use with your phone .Big money but well worth it.

Plus one for Gap IID BT.

Cheapest I found was Dan at Duckworth (site sponsor here) for £415.

In the first three months I’ve had my disco, it has upgraded my ECU (additional £25 for the firmware .... some upgrades cost a little extra), upgraded the air suspension compressor software to reduce the risk of my hitachi pump burning out, upgraded the bcu to give me the three flash turn signal, upgrad3d the instrument cluster to give me clock on dash, and upgraded the sat nav to give me control whilst moving.

Still need to upgrade the transmission firmware (that’s another £25) but waiting on Bodsy to flush my box first.

Plus, it helped diagnose a wiring failure in the steering wheel, has identified a dodgy parking sensor, told me of a blown wing turn indicator, and is currently letting me reset the ECU to clear faults when my turbo actuator arm sticks.

Oh, and it also let me pair a key sourced from eBay; actually got it ‘free’ with the car, but was a blank. £5 to cut it and then paired it myself .... LR want something crazy like £240 for a new key, and Timpsoms £145 for an aftermarket!

So in three months, it really has paid for itself already.

Can you not use the IID to update the appropriate setting to make the actuator do its self actuation on shut-down.

Can't remember the exact terminology or what the setting is! Rolling Eyes Embarassed

Yup. That’s what the ecu update did.

Turbo actuator moves 2 or 3 times through full range of movement on ignition on and ignition off.

Think the EGR valves do as well, at least on ignition off, as I get some weird clicks from that direction now.

Still gets sticky tho
