Don't suppose anyone can point me in the right direction to get a black roof tent cover?? I know it's a little OCD but I think it would look smart if it matched the car unlike my current brown cover.

Just an idea but does anyone have much knowledge of spray paint? & if so could a certain paint work on the original cover?
Main factors would be the flexibility of the cover & the weather resistance.

Ok thanks dunc. To be honest I don't want to spend much more than £30. I'm thinking the paint route could be a cheeper option if it's acheevable & it would allow me to keep the logos on the side.
Please let me know how you get on tho.

Methnks you'll need to pay more than £30 for a decent cover.
And don't even think about the spray paint option. This time next year it'll be all patchy bits and will look worse than your brown one now

Could you dye the one you have black? I seen a tent that was dyed dark blue and it looked well after about 3 years.Dale

The chances are that the initial tent cover is made from PVC on either a polyester or nylon fabric. As such the chances of getting normal paint to stick to the PVC would be slim.
I have seen industrial painters paint PVC window frames and it took them a bit of research to get it right.
Yes I think it is made from PVC. I am going to get a quote soon to get the wheel arches colour coded so will take the cover along & see what a professional thinks.
Failing that it will be back to the drawing board of getting one made.
"therealboss" unfortunately because it is a waterproof style material I don't think a dye would work.

Hi
these guys might be able to make something bespoke for you:
I came across them when looking for a trailer cover.Prince Harry's D3: G4 factory equipped D3 - expo rack, winch, roof lights, ladder, active locking rear diff, RAI, Melville & Moon seat covers, General Grabber ATs/ Goodyear Duratrac
Just thought I would update my thread with a pic of my finished roof tent cover. In the end I opted for making one my self with a sheet of strong black pond liner that I found on the car boot for £5. A crash course in using a sewing machine, some elastic from work, an afternoon in the garage and here is the final product:
Also had a little spare so I made a bag to put the wind breaker in. Also on the roof in pics.
