Germany - Environmental Stickers - Green Zones |
|
Hello, hopefully someone will be able to let me know what colour sticker a 2006 2.7 Auto is entitled too, for access to German city green zones?
Thanks, Paul (Remap, EGRs Blanked,Silicon I/C hose) from BAS, (Torque Convertor, Compressor, FL Wishbones, Alternator) by WD, Belts by Newbury4x4, Megaflush+extra cooler by GRGB, Diff+Transfer oils, ARB Bushes, Fuel filter, Fixed Towbar, Remote FBH.

Sticker colour depends on model year: MY2006 -> yellow, MY2007 -> green. Some cities with only green sticker allowed give an exceptional permit to foreign cars (i.e. Berlin), the fee they charge depends on the city.

Thanks for the info.
Looks like I get a yellow then...
Ho hum, I guess getting a green would make a mockery of the system though.
We are looking to go from Calais across to Berlin, via Essen & Hanover, then down to Prague.
Then on to Nuremberg, Munich, Frankfurt and home via Brussels.
Any pointers/tips would be appreciated.

Hi Voug,
As I go back to visit the folks back home at least once a year, is there a website giving out information on this scheme - no problem if it's in German only thanks.

The information to the sticker colour is taken from our german Blacklandy forum. Current environmental zones and their actual status can be seen here. Note that you only need stickers when visiting these cities - passing them on the Autobahn is free to any cars.
The Berlin senat has a good description of the general procedure as PDF here but note that the table with the sticker colours is not generally applicable ("The following table is intended to give a general overview for passenger cars, but there may be variations in individual cases.")

Have just received our badge from the Berlin authority.
I only get a yellow.
Good job we booked hotels outside of the green zones. (Remap, EGRs Blanked,Silicon I/C hose) from BAS, (Torque Convertor, Compressor, FL Wishbones, Alternator) by WD, Belts by Newbury4x4, Megaflush+extra cooler by GRGB, Diff+Transfer oils, ARB Bushes, Fuel filter, Fixed Towbar, Remote FBH.

I'm going to Germany camping over the summer. Guess I'll need one of these? Is there a general Germany one or is it different for each city? Bodsys Brake Bible

One covers the country.
I got mine from
https://www.berlin.de/labo/kfz/dienstleist...hop.en.php
Costs €6, not the €30+ that some sites charge.
I think you will get a green if you are Euro 4. (Remap, EGRs Blanked,Silicon I/C hose) from BAS, (Torque Convertor, Compressor, FL Wishbones, Alternator) by WD, Belts by Newbury4x4, Megaflush+extra cooler by GRGB, Diff+Transfer oils, ARB Bushes, Fuel filter, Fixed Towbar, Remote FBH.

If I understand it correctly, the D4 SDV6 is Euro V compliant (with the DPF), so will easily get a green sticker, as it has very low particulate emissions.
Seems a bit counter intuitive though, and must really annoy the Toyota Pious crowd!

Great advice, thank you - used the site you suggested, got it sent to our hotel in Hannover in advance and it was there waiting to be applied when we arrived, ready for driving around Hannover and Berlin. Just 6 Euros and was delivered in just a couple of days.
