Genuine land rover snorkel

Hello, i am a new owner of a 2008 d3, currnetly have a isuzu dmax at35 as well as the disco... looking for a genuine snorkel and am having some trouble finding one, the safari ones seem easy to get hold of but rather fancy a genuine one.
Thanks guys

RAI ( Raised Air Intake ) are no longer made so finding a genuine example will be tricky and in the event you do find a genuine one, expensive too.
Expect to stump up £300 or more for a complete 2nd hand example or if you're feeling brave, try this link:

I’ve bought a RAI that looks like the G4 type from Belgium, type in “defparts belgium” which will take you to the website, only difference I can see is that it does not have Land Rover written on part of the RAI. Price was decent (approx £200) and no issues getting it posted to UK.
I’ve not had it fitted yet, you need a piece of hose to connect the RAI apparently. Also I believe part of the wing needs to be cut to accommodate the RAI.

Genuine one only needs 3 rivnuts to attach it, two above the wing vent and one at the top of the A pillar trim. Wink
No wing cutting required.

Landrover never made a snorkle for the Disco - only a RAI so if you want a snorkle you need to get a Safari.

It reminds me of a ford crossing near Salisbury plain where Dark Bluie announced it was going into extended mode, ie it was starting to float. Now that’s scary. Someone here (woody-something ISTR) wrote his D3 off when it floated down stream at either that or a nearby crossing. Shocked

Not something I’ll be doing in my Jazz. Whistle

SWMBO almost did when I was in the USofA on fieldwork. With two very elderly dogs, one with no use of back legs, when River Usk had become Lake Usk. She’s still traumatised by it!! She did good though. Thumbs Up
