Hi DSL

Blimey , now that is scary making a D3 float Thud

Don’t know if it’s the same one ur talking about , but wasn’t there a video of a D3 getting filled with water

Deepest I would ever go is to the bottom of the door sills

They must have had a plug or a door seal missing for it to fill like that ...Me and others here have been in bonnet depth water for fairly prolonged periods on numerous occasions without incident.

I did wonder that , may i ask do the doors have like a double rubber seal fitted please to prevent the ingress of water when wading

The trick is to maintain a minimum speed while wading, as soon as you stop with water level above doors sills you'll be in serious trouble...

Here my 50 cents,
i was on tarmac (pretty sure that no hidden obstacles were on the way), Low gear selected (3rd) and suspension in super extended mode via additional lifting ECU. Top of the bonnet was near 120 cm.

Looking at the 2 cars on the edge i was thinking those were parked, so the wade appear not so deep... in the reality those cars were floating Neutral Shocked



Deepest point just under the bridge.

After that 3 or 4 kgs of dry leaves has been removed from radiators bay, ingested from front grille Whistle

In any case no water inside at all, but i don't want to repeat this thrill Confused

Im sure there is a video of a police disco 4 with water beginning to go over the bonnet and float from back in the day on the forum somewhere....scary Thumbs Up
