What % of time is the rear DVD ever going to be used?
You're probably right. The other benefit I wanted from the DVD is to listen to the 'Live in Concert' style DVDs through the AUX system. I guess most of them come with a CD these days anyway.

I was thinking about getting one of these fitted to my D3.
But I thought I'd get your valuable feedback first.
I've been advised that they rattle and squeak and carry on, is this true?
What do people who have them think of them?
I have one its great no rattles or squeaks. The surround sound quality is amazing. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Had one on my '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee but nobody used it. However, I don't have young kids. So I didn't get it on the LR3. Could one get the surround sound on a portable DVD player plugging into the aux sound plug near the back seat?? 8)'06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package

Rosen DVD
Got mine from a Landrover maindealer, but they sourced the rosen from a local retailer, then supplied the LandRover fixing plate, no rattles (after I tightened it up properly) The retailer fixed it and supplied 4 sets of headphones, all very good and blissfully quiet on a 1000 mile journey accross Europe.D4 HSE Luxury SDV6,
Cameras, tow assist
Defender 90 Adventure
A4 Avant 3.0l TDI
CLUB MTR
CLUB BLACK ALLOY
CLUB FFRR RIMS
CLUB VREDESTEIN WINTRAC 4 EXTREME
all very good and blissfully quiet on a 1000 mile journey accross Europe.
Another outcome I was hoping for (well, probably not in Europe).

Think i am going to go for the brodit clips as the cost of full integration is ridiculous for the amount of time they are used
Has anybody any experience of one of these dvd player / screens with the built in digital TV reciever. I was just wondering what the signal quality would be like on the move?
Ive seen a 10" screen in costco that does the lot for around £240, something like this

I have been trying to find somewhere in OZ that does custom installs (like site sponsor "Prestige" does in the UK). I recon I should be able to get much better value than the LR genuine in roof DVD.
Is anyone in OZ operating a system like this?Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Hi Tristan,
http://www.fhrxstudios.com/ does custom installs and also can get Rosen. I was going to eventually ask them about pricing as well, but it is lower on my "wish list".
My mate has the Maplin one and its great, you can down load files from the net and just stick them on a drive connect it up then watch them, no disks.
Very portable as well.
