Hi all,
New Disco 4 owner and new to this forum, so be gentle I know its a Land Rover and they do go Wrong!! However we all still love them.
Anyway back to my Problem/s
I have a 2010 Disco 4 2.7 with manual transmission, I know there is not many of them about. its started making a whining noise when the clutch is released suggesting input bearing failure. I have been on the hunt for a second hand/reconned unit but all manual boxes I can find are for disco 3's.
Did Land Rover do a limited run of these manual diso4's to get rid of the old disco 3 boxes?
Next is the Transfer box leak from the front output shaft. This seems fairly common and repair kits readily available. so not too worried about this job.
I am going to be a Brave man have my wheatabix, brush up on my profanities, and attempt this in my driveway...............we'll see how that goes
Ps. If anyone has done this in the drive or wants some experience doing it get in touch
