Gearbox Fault
Hello all, newbie here and looking for some suggestions/ideas
I have a 2010. 3l HSE and for past few weeks have been having a rather irritating intermittent fault 🙄.
Car starts every morning fine no problem, gradually throughout the day it comes up with gearbox fault and car won’t start. Lock and unlock it and SOMETIMES it clears but can take 5-15 minutes or 2 hours!!! which is infuriating
Process of elimination has led us to these points:
Fault is daily if outside temperature is warmer, all through winter and snow/ice no problems
Fault tends to occur if you do a long journey, stop somewhere for like 5/10mins, then it won’t stsrt again
If left until the engine cools right down it will start again
New battery last year, have booked into garage...
Thoughts appreciated...
