Gear snatch / Jolt feeling when accelerating

I’ve recently noticed when I come off the brakes after slowing down for a junction or roundabout for instance if I put my foot down a bit sharply on the accelerator I get a type of what I can only describe as a snatch / jolt feeling of the gearbox rather then a smooth acceleration, It’s ok if I gently increase the power slowly but most automatic cars I driven I’ve never noticed the same regardless of how soon and quickly you accelerate , Just doesn’t feel right and as smooth as it should be. Recently greased up the linkage as leaver was very stiff, Thought this might have helped but obviously not , Any ideas ?

play in the prop shaft / diff mountings maybe. ??

as you accelerate hard the prop rotates fasters than the diff picks up the change (or vice versa) where accelerating more gently allows the transmission to pick up gradually ?

Thanks RogB , Will get it checked, Is it much of a job to rectify if that’s the issue?

couldnt say as ive never had it since my first LR years ago which was a Freelander 1. The rear diff used to snatch under load and it was down the diff bearing

the D4 is of course a very different set up but i know the prop shaft centre bearings can fail which allows slack into the drive train. Its common on D4
