Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I've got the Android app. It worked ok to update the dash to give me the COD.
I was a little surprised to see all the lights flash, locks activate and blower go to full speed after the update. Then there was a massive list of failures on screen!! Once the tool had done it's thing though, all was good.
I look forward to seeing what else I can customise.
CC and 3 flash indicators is next on the list.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

If your disco is an early model you will have to flash the control model to activate 3 flash indicators as well as activating it in ccf it will tell you how to do it once you reed the instruction manual on the 3rd time i looked at them it was right in front of me

@ Geoffsnook.
I guess I need to check out the manual then. Mine is an 05, the 3 flash indicators are active on the CCF but still don't work. Nor is the CC.
Everything else I've changed has worked though. I've got 07 dash and the i button does more options with a settings menu.
The EPB now auto releases (manual box)
And a few other things too.
It's just the 3 flash and CC that are missing still.
I'm liking the IID tool though.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

if you read the manual it will tell you to update the body control so you can use 3 flash indicator it took a while for me to find out why but simple after this info
Changing a configuration may not be sufficient for a feature to work:
• If the required hardware is not or still present in the vehicle.
• If the software or hardware version of a particular system does not support the functionality. For
example, on L319-04, the 3 turn flash feature is enabled in the Car Configuration File (CCF).
In order to work on 2005-2006 vehicles, the BCM Body Control ECU software will have to be updated.
Once done it will work

Thanks Geoffsnook.
I've found the section in the manual for the BCU flash. I'm thinking that maybe the clock spring might be duff, hence no CC.
I'll investigate that one.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

If correct update done you may find its the wire which has broken to the clock spring its the brown one on the left that connects wheel controls to spring as a lot of them break down on the inside if you have a reasonable milage on it mine did and i could not get the cc to work all the time only when it wanted to changed the wire and hey presto all good again and it looked as nothing at all wrong with cable

Thanks Pat.
I believe that I've activated CC correctly. I can control my IID tool via the CC buttons too. My D3 is showing bus faults on multiple ECUs. I think that's causing the CC to lock out.
Investigation into the bus failure will need to be carried out.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

I'm 99.9% sure that the wiring is ok. I can control my IID tool via the CC buttons.
I believe that the fault is due to the bus error logged.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

So the CCF setting is good, we can take it out of the equation. Here's what we suggest:
-Look for faults in the engine and vehicle dynamic ECUs. We recommend sending us the list using the Android App.
-Brake switch or brake light in good working order?

I'll see if I can send you the full error log. As far as I can tell, the brake light switch is good. The lights work for sure but I do know they have multiple contacts.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
