Thought this well worth a post.
Changed my car, simple email to Patrick at GAP Diagnostics, and my BT- IIDTool was up and running paired to my new Car via a new activation code within 15 minutes.

Been very impressed with Pat's responses, even to my dumb questions.

Glad we could help
Excerp from my answer to Syd:
Vehicle transfer for the original tool owner is free of charge. Keep in mind that the tool will no longer be unlocked on your previous vehicle. Simply send us the activation code displayed on the new vehicle,
IIDTool Menu->IIDTool Config->Unlock Code
and we will provide the corresponding unlock.
Note: An IIDTool BT can work on any supported vehicles while a regular non BT unit will only work on the vehicle type it was destined to.

Basically I sent Patric an Email, he came back within seconds with
Vehicle transfer for the original tool owner is free of charge. Keep in mind that the tool will no longer be unlocked on the 2008 RRS. Simply send us the activation code displayed on the 2011 IIDTool Menu->IIDTool Config->Unlock Code and we will provide the corresponding unlock.
Very simple, I plugged my IIDTool in, the usual loading files etc, then a message not activated for the car, click on activate (in blue on my Android phone) this gives you a 10 digit number for activation, sent the number to Patrick and a new activation code sent back to me whilst I was still sat in the car.
VERY simple, first class service from GAP/Patrick.

So Patrick will never get the question unless he has a time machine? Is he Dr Who?
