The pickup at the start didn't want to hang around.
 Cheers Scott.

Nope, lol. His dinner must have been on the table. Surpised how many 4x4's were around that just drove off and didn't help anyone.

I think nowadays people are reluctant to help becasue of liability issues or they just cannot be bothered!

In the past I have asked two questions
1, do you need a tow?
2. have you a tow rope?
Yes and they fit it to their car gets them a tow
No gets a bye bye from me

If people cant be prepared like I am tough titty Mr. Green

Yeh, it's definitely a liability thing for me, I've heard some horror stories on here and elsewhere.
 Cheers Scott.

I'm the same, happy to give advice, give lifts to NHS staff etc but hitching up a car is over my boundary.

mainly as i don't want to be either rear ended or someone try claim off me.

Does anyone hold a liability waiver form or similar.

Interesting the towing issue I past a guy this morning but he did not have a towing eye so could not help him
just an hour later I had a phone call from a good friend to say that he had been unable to get his daughter to Honition Hospital for her dialysis yesterday or today I said I would be happy to have a crack at it if needed tomorrow
Jeremy Vine had a piece on his Radio 2 show asking are 4x4 drivers good guys for helping those out really needed to get to a given destination or just show offs
so are we show offs or kind hearted citizens

I saw this on Twitter and thought, what a d***

I would imagine the majority are doing it to help out, but if someone is doing it to show off, providing they are still safe and still assisting, who cares?

A more useful question is “what exactly is Jeremy Vine for?” As a fan of BBC’s “The Eggheads”, the man drives me up the wall with his banal and inane comments. He seems to have little knowledge of the questions and answers. Sad
2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

@tcr4x4. Nice roadmovie ! This year we did not have much snow in the Netherlands.

Roads are clean, everything bone dry. Humidity below 30%.

But the weather is terrible. Chill factor down to -28C due to gale windforce..
Trees are shedding needles as they are frost dried. Grass is brown all around...

We normally see a bit of frost at night, sometimes down to -5C or a bit lower.
But then during the day it goes above zero, not this time. This is the first time in
more then ten years that I have to bring buckets of water to the horses as the waterlines are
frozen solid in the stables. I did drain them in time...

If this ends sunday lunchtime we had subzero for 24/8 first time in 12 years...

Great video tcr and well done you for stopping to help.

Are we really getting to the stage where we have to think "is this person going to sue me" if we stop to help??

Annoyingly I have one, a reasonably decent dash cam I got given to review a while back. But it fell off the window the other day and I shoved it in the little lidded cubby in the boot at forgot all about it Rolling with laughter
Need to find the sticky mount for it as the suction cups are useless.

If that was my dash cam on the audio there would be singing, mumbling, chatting to myself, running commentary, stupid noises etc
