Pretty sure NFU has fully comp whole abroad - not risking to sound boring and repetitive - but give them a call next time round.

It also depends which countries you go to. All comp policies now must provide minimum legal cover in all of the EU but if you want Comp, as has been said, you pay a fee. Fair enough. However you must state which countries you intend to visit as some are more 'loaded' that others. I had no problems with any of the countries we went to last year except Romania. Because we were going there a larger premium was demanded - although in fairness, due to the driving style there, I understood the insurer's point
We also took out 3rd party recovery rather than just relying on LRA 'just in case' - that way we knew exactly what we would get. There are some reports of patchy LRA when in Europe - and by brother in law had just had a very unpleasant experience with Volvo's assistance service when the clutch died on his new Volvo convertible in the Friday rush hour on the Paris ring!!

You'll have to be careful you don't start getting baited about this.... I forsee several new threads involving ever-stranger insurance circumstances coming along.... Cheers

Hey no worries...
But it is nice to call their office, speak to someone who remembers you from three years ago, gets your file (not looking up and reading a script form the puter), sorts out a cover note and then says they will drop it into my dealer on their way home
