Fuel System TDV6 - Water watch |
|
Just wondering if any TDV6 owners are ever concerned with the chance of water in petrol station tanks ending up in your fuel tank?
The result can be disastrous effects on you fuel system & engine.
My question is does the D3 / D4 have safegards to prevent this from happening?
I know with diesels of old they used to have a hand primer and sedimenter in which you could monitor water build up before it got into anywhere damage could be done.
I read an article in 4WD Action here is Aus about it and it is scary!
A company here in Aus does make a Water Watch device that you fit in the fuel line, it has a audible alarm that goes off if any water is detected.
