Fuel Flap cover
Has anyone come across problems with opening the fuel cover when refueling this happened to me last Thursday and took me around half an hour before eventually managing to get it opened by fully locking the doors and then fully unlocking the doors again. Is there a failsafe somewhere I can use to get the fuel cover incase this happens again.
All constructive answers appreciated

common fault, both mine have done this - and usually when I'm running on fumes
a quick lock/unlock with remote while pushing flap solves it - never been a**ed to take it to dealer to fixSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

So it is supposed to be locked when the car is locked? I'm quite sure mine isn't...

open fuel lid and look to see if the rod comes out when you press the lock button on the keyfob, mine snapped off and the cable had to be replaced, this can cause jamming sometimes.'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'

I had this too, on fumes, @ the pump.
Drove off;
Poked around with a long, thin screwdriver - nowt.
Celled the LR "Rescue". They fixed it over the Cell-ph, multiple presses of the lock / un-lock on the remote and the lid sprung [sprang?] open.

Mine is the same. It opens randomly when the car is fully locked. I think if I double lock it on the remote key mine will pop open.
