Fuel computer
Just an observation. I filled up just before Christmas. The projected range was 443 miles so I reset the trip meter. I rain it down to the fuel light coming on and 30 miles. The trip meter said I had actually covered 350 miles. Admittedly there was a day out on the moors driving lanes.

Projected range is based on past fuel usage - it cannot predict how light footed or heavy footed you will be in the future - in your case you were obviously burning more fuel after the fill than you were before the fill.

It was from a little bit below where this pic was taken, Port d’Envalira in Andorra down into France ISTR. Lots of engine breaking.

And don’t get me started on those pesky horses. I was well off road up a track to nowhere, D3 campervanning, and I thought they were sweet. Until they started trying to eat the car!!
