Although I have read all the articles about fitting a timer or using gsm, and down loaded the fitting instructions, I can't find where they can be purchased. I have looked on ebay and waeco & webasto web sites but still can't find them. Can any one help please?
you can occasionally pick one up off e-bay, otherwise you will need to contact Webasto direct.

I've spent 3 months looking for that!!! - Many thanks, I will contact them as they are not listing the 4 pin moulded plug.

Although the 4 pin socket wasn't shown on the ebay site, the same seller offered one for £4 and so the time switch and plug have now been purchased. Again thanks for your help.
Does anyone have the original Land Rover fitting instructions for the official kit? I'd like to fit mine as per original spec...

Andy - From reading previous articles, I don't think this kit was ever fitted by landrover. The wiring diagram is available on here and is clear, precise and very well presented. My timer arrived today, and it should be possible for it to be fitted in such away that its removal won't leave any marks. But once fitted I don't think you would want to remove it. If you buy the timer, its well worth buying the moulded plug and terminals for the rear, but first just make sure the heater is fitted!
Hi BBDisco, yes I've got all the bits already and I do have a heater fitted!
I believe LR fit the kit in Russia, using the same timer. I want to see how they mount it in the courtesy light cluster as I'll probably put mine there, with the GSM transceiver behind.

Just a thought.... are you sure you want to put an RF transmitter so close to the airbag initiators?
LR kit comes with an extra bezel to mount it in the light cluster so, as the bezel isn't available on it's own, just mount it on the rear most part of the cluster as some others have done on here or wherever seems most suitableThe End

I would have thought the actuators must be robustly resilient against mobile transmissions as many users operate their phones in their vehicles in close proximity to them. The Faraday effect of the car bodyshell aslo makes the phones work harder and ramp up their output power.
Are there examples of the actuators being interefered with by mobiles?

But you don't use your mobile with your head jammed up against the light cluster.... RF power is at it's greatest close to the antenna, the wiring is twisted pair to help prevent induced current in the circuit but personally I think it's a bad idea to locate an antenna that close to an explosive device
I'm not disagreeing with you, I'd just be surprised if airbag actuators could be set off with mobile phone transmissions. I have no desire to be blown up!
I'll look at the option of mounting the antenna elsewhere, or moving the whole unit as you imply.
