I have a FR RR on my D3 with the short legs and the full 2,2m one, can anyone tell me or explain what the easiest method would be to remove it and to re-fit it.
No matter which way I look at it, it will not be easy, but which way is the easiest of all. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Never easy, I usualy just take the whole thing apart. Just don't move the feet that is attached to the rack with the 2 nuts, or you might battle to line everything up again, so, loosen the bolts that sits horizontal (they are supposed to have plastic caps on them) and then after removing the rack , remove the brackets that sits on the roofrail. Small hands could help. White MY2011 SDV6 HSE

I followed the same technique that Kabous described. Swambo's help is called in to assist with lifting the RR of the D3.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought, I suppose you then just do it in reverse for re-fitment? Put the roof mount brackets on (not to tight), put the rack back on and adjust the base and tighten the horizontal nuts and base nuts (How do you get your hands into/under the rack to re tighten those nuts under the rack going into the roof rails?) 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)
