Front Suspension Settling |
|
At first I thought I was mad, but now I am convinced. Occasionally the front of the car seems to drop (like when you put the car into access height) when you come to a stand still (traffic lights or something). I've only noticed it a couple of times. The last time I noticed I quickly dropped it into access height expecting it not to lower, but it did. Anyone noticed this happen?

It's just the car levelling itself if you are on an uphill slope? I've noticed it numerous times.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Not this morning, was on the flat, but had only just set off. Thanks though, I thought this would be the case, just wanted to make sure as I am having a bit of an "is this right" about my car at the moment.
Not to mention the fact driving down the motorway next to a D3 the other night I was convinced we were riding lower (and it did not look like it had been modified in any way).

A lot of how much it drops will depend on what's in the vehicle in the way of luggage (and I suppose people to a point!). Mine being the Commercial, most stuff is at the back which is when it does it the most. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Rarely anything other than me and a laptop bag... probably why I only see it very occasionally (only noticed it 4/5 times in 4 or so months of ownership.
