Hi there i have a 2004 tdv6 man se with 56k miles. which has a fairly pronounced suspension knock from the front, very noticable at slow speed on rough ground or sleeping policeman type bumps, i can also get it to knock by dabbing the brake pedal, i had the anti roll bar spacers fitted and both front lower ball joints fitted last year. I have jacked up the front, checked the wheel bearings and levered all the other joints and bushes, but i cannot find anything obvious. anynone else had a similar problem ? if so what cured it.. from the noise it makes i thought it would be pretty easy to see whats up...

If it was last year you had the spacers fitted it may already be time for complete new roll bar bushes. Don't know how long spacers last but don' think it's a permanant fix. Somebody will be along soon who as had the spacers fitted with more info.

There are now modified anti-roll bar bushes for the front and rear.
Lower ball joints are a common problem and again modified ones are available.
Also there are some known issues with play in the lower arm inner bushes.
